Here are some additional tracks to accompany the reading in the October 2017 issue.
Track 1 is included for the news item on jazz bassist Esperanza Spalding.
Tracks 2-7 are included for the feature article “The Road to Broadway,” and were picked to serve as examples of young people singing and performing on Broadway.
Tracks 8-14 are included for the feature article “Ukulele Tales,” and show a range of musical styles in which the ukulele can be used.
Track 15 is a piece of music that was written around the time that the piano was invented, and likely was played on some of the earliest pianos.
