Paramore Rediscovers Their Why
By Stacey SwansonIn 2002, at age 13, vocalist Hayley Williams' family moved from Meridian, Mississippi, to Franklin, Tennessee, where she was enrolled in a private school and met brothers Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Zac Farro (drums). Shortly after, she began taking vocal lessons. Paramore formed in 2004 when Hayley and the brothers were joined by Jeremy Davis (bass) and later Jason Bynum (rhythm guitar) who would meet up and jam after school. They gigged locally, and around their region, and as most of the band (except for Davis) were underage, Hayley's parents would drive them to their shows and festivals. Eventaully, with a sound that appealed to an ever-larger fan base, Paramore cane to the attention of Atlantic Records who signed them to a recording deal in 2005...
