The 2015-2016 season of Music Alive! has begun, and to celebrate our 35th year in print—thanks to our faithful subscribers—we’ve given our website a thorough renovation. Here on the home page, we focus on what’s new in the magazine, both in the latest issue and the current season as a whole. The Teacher Resources section (subscriber login required) is where you’ll find our Hear the Music streaming playlists, featuring every song highlighted in our articles and lesson plans. It’s all the music that used to show up on our classroom CDs, only now you can access it on your computer, tablet, phone, or whatever device you prefer. Also in Teacher Resources: handy PDFs of each issue’s lesson plans, redesigned classroom worksheets, an expanded quiz area (why have only one quiz per issue?), and our traditional crosswords.
Want to delve deeper into what we covered this month? Visit the Bonus Content section, which contains exclusive online features supplementing each issue’s articles, along with even more streaming audio in our Extended Play area. Then there’s the Archive, which presents material from our sizable back pages, including several seasons’ worth of Cool Careers columns and a list of every article that’s appeared in the magazine since the 1980s.
