The country duo started out as solo artists, but only hit it big when they joined together.
Before Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney met each other, they both moved to Nashville with the dream of becoming a successful songwriter. Then, after meeting at a party, they started writing together. It wasn’t long before they were being offered publishing deals, and later, a record contract.
What is it that makes them so successful? Some artists have a chemistry together that comes across in their music; some are gifted with vocal tonalities that happen to blend well together naturally.
